When I first started working at CarDomain, everybody was going crazy over Ron Patrick’s Jet Beetle, so I knew you guys would totally dig this jet-powered Ford F-150. Builder Chris Lentz has wanted a supersonic truck since he was a little kid, and started on the project two years ago after picking up a ’50s era jet designed to power a Czechoslovakian L-29 Delfin trainer. And while the Blue Oval might not have the lofty performance specs of the fighter, it will run the 1/4 mile in a blistering 8.5 seconds. Sure, at full throttle, the 20-gallon fuel tank will be dry in four minutes, but something tells us it’d be a wicked four minutes! Check out the clip below to see it in action, and head over to Automobile for more pics and details on the build.
