Fisker Karma: Eminent “Eco-Chic”

Fisker Automotive created the all new Fisker Karma, a sports sedan sculptured with perfect curves and dynamics. Managed by a Q DRIVE Technology, its small gasoline engine turns a generator that charges the Lithium-ion battery pack which powers the electric motor. The Karma offers a solar panel option, meaning you can choose to purchase a full length solar roof that will help charge the car and at the same time cooling the interior cabin while the car is parked. You can accelerate up to 125 mph in 6 seconds while it runs either with gasoline or electricity.

Hyundai BLUE-WILL: Plug-in Hybrid

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and for Hyundai engineers, they can see beauty even in the agape mouths of filter-feeding baleen whales. Their latest concept, the BLUE-WILL, is a plug-in hybrid with a standard 1.6 liter gasoline engine coupled with a 100 kilowatt electric motor. The environment has been the central focus of car manufacturers and Hyundai makes sure that the majority of the materials used for the BLUE-WILL are not only recyclable but eco-friendly as well. The headlamp bezels are made from recycled plastic bottles while the bonnet and some of the panels are made of plant-based plastics that are biodegradable. The electric motor is powered by lithium-ion polymer batteries that could also be charged via the translucent solar panels on the roof. Great concept but should you drive these in the future, watch for the harpoons!

Bentley Continental Supersport

As Bentley enters the eco-friendly scene, it does it in a big way with the Bentley Continental Supersport. Not only is it Bentley’s first FlexFuel car, but it is also the company’s most powerful with its W12 engine producing 621hp. It also has a top speed of 204 mph and registers 3.7 seconds for 0-60. As well as A20 inch, 10-spoke alloy wheels making this a winner plus the 6-speed Quickshift transmission. There are also ESP systems and other brownies added on.
